4-Family to 9-Family Residential Conversion with Vertical Extension

This project involved converting an existing 4-family residential building into a 9-family residence, including an approximately 1,400-square-foot vertical extension. The goal was to maximize the number of rental units and fully utilize the allowable floor area ratio (FAR), all within a limited construction budget.

Seo Architect was responsible for the overall exterior design and interior layouts, beginning in the schematic design phase and carrying the project through to completion. Our role included close collaboration with structural, MEP, and sprinkler consultant engineers to ensure compliance and functionality. The project was successfully completed with the issuance of a new Certificate of Occupancy.
